Courtney & Nick, a Lk. Angelus wedding

I get asked quite frequently from prospective wedding clients: “So, what happens if you get really sick or something and can’t shoot our wedding?” Well this is what happened here. My friend and fellow photographer, Dionne of The Shooting Gallery, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. It was advised by her doctors to stop working and focus on her health. A group of other local photographers rallied together to take on the rest of her wedding clients for the season, and I have to say, what an amazing community I am part of! 🙂

I encourage you all to read about Dionne’s story here, so beautifully written by her best friend and photographer Stacey. You can track her progress here. Want to help? You can donate here. She is fighting for her life, that is no secret, and I am in awe by her sheer strength of character and her lovely positive spirit.

You can “see” Dionne and learn a bit more about her journey ahead in this lovely video by Jamie Honce of Third Street Films:

I did not shoot this wedding by myself, I want to thank the lovely and incredibly talented Susan Ashe for all her hard work and amazing skillz. Thank you Susan!

Now onto this beautiful couple and their amazing day!! Right after I list these incredible vendors… 😉

Florist- Michelle Nonis

Band- Intrigue

Coordinator- Christie Simony

Programs/Accessories- Paisley Quill

Catering- 2unique Catering

Ceremony- St. Hugo’s of the Hills

While I was with the ladies, Susan shot the gentlemen…. I simply love this one!

Courtney’s ‘something blue’ was Nick’s wedding gift to her…

Amazing group of friends Courtney and Nick have, so much fun to work with!

I love this shot of the ladies, aren’t their gowns stunning?

My favorites….

I was speechless when I walked in that barn to shoot the reception, Susan and I were just in awe. What an amazing set of details!

After her speech, Courtney’s sister and Maid of Honor surprised the couple with a flash dance!

Such a great dance, the crowd loved it…

I will not lie, best Mother and Son dance ever, I had a hard time keeping up with these two, they were tearin’ it up!!

Intrigue had the floor full all night, these guys ROCK!

And one more for the road……

Courtney and Nick, thank you for trusting us to capture your beautiful day! We wish you both a lifetime of health and happiness! See more images from the wedding here.
